Father Jesús was born in McAllen, TX but grew up in Hebbronville, TX.  When he was 22 years old he joined the Community of St. John in Laredo, TX and immediately left for France to start his formation. After finishing his formation in France, his first assignment was to Monterrey, Mexico where he stayed for 7 years. After Monterrey he was sent to Cebu Island in the Philippines where he enjoyed serving the filipino community for 11 years. From Cebu he was sent to go to Korea but ended up staying there a mere 2 weeks as the community decided to close this priory. Previous to his assignment here in Orange in 2017, he spent 2 years in Salvador da Bahia, Brazil. Since 2023, he is the Provincial of the Brothers of Saint John.
