The Catechism of the Catholic Church reminds us that, "...prayer is the encounter of God's thirst with ours" (#2560). As Christians, we are called to a life of prayer, deepening our commitment to Christ evermore and abandoning ourselves in His presence, under the work of the Holy Spirit, to be found by the Heavenly Father, as a Church united in prayer, work and love.
The Brothers of St. John invite you to join them for their times of community prayer (see "daily prayer" schedule), Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, Rosary, Divine Mercy Chaplet, and times of silent prayer in the church, the chapel, or outside at the grotto.
"Prayer is the oxygen of the soul!"
-- St. Padre Pio
At some point, families will be faced with making arrangements for a loved one who has died. Here is a helpful video to assist family members who might not be familiar with the Order of Christian Funerals, or perhaps not aware of the deceased’s wishes for one.
